Flic Bluetooth Smart Button Review – Controls devices, IFTTT from a button

Buy it on Amazon – http://lon.tv/wuk4s (affiliate link) – There isn’t much to this little device, it’s just a button. But it connects up with a really nice app for controlling smart home devices as well as IFTTT and other services. See more Internet of Things: http://lon.tv/iot and subscribe ! http://lon.tv/s

The device connects up with Wemo, Philips Hue and other smart home devices. It also connects with Zapier and IFTTT (and other services too) which will likely fill in any gaps it doesn’t work with.

I do recommend using this on an Android phone as it will do a better job of keeping their app running in the background. iPhones will work but when operating system closes the app’s background task your button will stop working.

My only gripe? Price. At $34.00 it’s a steep price to pay for something so simple. A pack of four is sold for $99 but even that’s a little too pricey for what it is.
