Apple tvOS 26 is finally here! In this review, I cover all the biggest new features, what still needs improvement, and whether or not you should upgrade your Apple TV to tvOS 26.
Apple first announced tvOS 26 at WWDC 2025, and after a summer of beta testing, it’s officially rolling out to everyone. In this video, I walk you through the Liquid Glass redesign, the new Apple Music Sing karaoke mode, profiles on launch, improved app sign-in, customizable screensavers, default AirPlay speaker support, Thread 1.4 for smart homes, and updates to the TV and FaceTime apps.
But tvOS 26 isn’t perfect. I also highlight some missing features, like widgets, Screen Time for kids, a proper Home app, better game storage, and deeper Apple Intelligence integration.
